A few months ago, Sakis Gouzonis entered the 2008 Composition Competition with one of his original compositions.
The Awards Ceremony for the 2008 Composition Competition took place earlier this evening in Volos, Greece. The event brought together composers, musicians, bands, poets, lyricists, singers, and music enthusiasts. A total of nineteen music categories were represented, with award winners coming from Greece, Portugal, Iran, and China.
Sakis Gouzonis received 3rd Prize for his original composition Elegy in the "Digital Dance Music" category.
The judging panel for the 2008 competition consisted of Yorgos Foudoulis, president of the International Art Society and director of the Foudoulis Conservatory; Dimitris Kontogiannis, musician and songwriter; and Grigoris Soultanis, musician and music teacher.

The Composition Competition is an annual music event that provides composers, musicians, bands, poets, lyricists, and singers from around the world with an excellent opportunity to showcase their original works.
The competition was founded in Volos, Greece, in 2003 by Yorgos Foudoulis, president of the International Art Society and director of the Foudoulis Conservatory.
